Halifax MP Holly Lynch is holding a ‘#WeLoveOurHospital’ coffee morning at Halifax Central Library on Saturday 12th September, as part of her campaign against cuts to Calderdale Royal Hospital.

NHS chiefs will decide if they are ready to consult on major hospital changes later this month, and it looks likely that they will propose the downgrade of either Halifax or Huddersfield A&E. Other key services could also face the axe.

The event will allow the public to learn more about the proposals and provide an opportunity for them to share their own opinions with Holly.

Holly said:

“David Cameron has backtracked on his pre-election promise to keep our A&E open, leaving local doctors to decide on major changes to our hospital.

“Lack of communication has been an ongoing problem throughout this process. I want to ensure people are not left in the dark and have every opportunity to make their views heard.”

The coffee morning will run from 10am until 12 noon.
