Campaigners showed their support for Calderdale Royal Hospital at a coffee morning in Halifax this Saturday, organised by Halifax MP Holly Lynch.

People discussed NHS policy, signed petitions asking David Cameron to keep his pre-election promises, and wrote supportive messages to hospital staff, whilst enjoying Fairtrade tea and coffee.

Holly Lynch MP said:

“I’m delighted that so many Halifax people have shown their support and concern for our hospital this morning. I will continue to fight for our A&E department and hold David Cameron to account for his broken pre-election promises”.

Local health bosses will decide whether they are ready to go to consultation on changes to the hospital on the 24th September.
