A local charity were given a helping hand by Holly and Labour party members to get their new offices ready with a fresh coat of paint.

Calderdale SmartMove assist homeless and vulnerably housed people to find accommodation in Calderdale. Established in 1998 they have recently decided to move into larger new premises which will allow them to offer a better service to more vulnerable people in the area.

Holly_Lynch_Smartmove_Halifax1.jpgHolly and volunteers from the Labour Party helped decorate the new building on Harrison Road, Halifax after the charity put out a call for assistance with the renovation.

She said: “SmartMove are a great local charity. They help people get back on their feet in a variety of different ways and it was a pleasure to go and lend a hand.”

Craig George of SmartMove said: “It was great to have Holly’s help on this project. The support of volunteers during our refurbishment has been fantastic and has ensured that our new premises should open by the first week of May”.
